PACE Part 3 (June-Sept 2026)

June 23 – September 30

PACE Part 3: Guiding Behavior includes 20 hours of live online training divided into three Modules.

All classes in this series will take place live over Zoom on the dates listed below:

  • Module 1: Approaches to Behavior Guidance (3-class series) – 6:30-8:30 pm on Tuesdays evenings: June 23, June 30, and July 7, 2026.
  • Module 2: Guiding Children’s Behavior (3-class series) – 9 am-12 noon on Saturday mornings: July 25, August 8, and August 22, 2026
  • Module 3: Individualized Behavior Guidance (2-class series) – 6:30-9 pm on Wednesday evenings: September 16 and 30, 2026

Active participation and full attendance in all online trainings are required for credit.

The PACE training series must be completed in order.  Before registering for PACE Part 3, check your MERIT account and make sure you have completed and received credit for the following classes:

  • The 30-hour Child Care Basics
  • Enhancing Quality Early Learning (EQEL) Year 1 and Year 2
  • PACE Part 1: The Field of early Care & Education (Modules 1, 2, and 3)
  • PACE Part 2: Supporting Child Development & Wellness (Modules 1, 2, and 3)

Free PACE is available at no cost for providers who have chosen this community based option to meet the education requirement for their role. 

Provider Access to a Community Equivalent (PACE) is an option for some ECE roles who need the equivalent to an initial or short certificate (assistant teachers, lead teachers, or family home licensee.)  For more information about PACE, visit the DCYF website.
