Child Care Action Council Equity Inclusion and Racial Justice Team
At Child Care Action Council, our commitment is to children, families, and early childhood educators in the communities we serve. To listen to them, to hear their stories, and to honor them. We pledge to support staff, early childhood educators, and families in understanding bias, prejudice, and discrimination, in all its forms, as well as the continuing impacts of systemic racism and white privilege. We commit to working in collaboration with those we serve and our community partners toward advancing equity, fostering children’s positive self-identities, and promoting cultural humility.
Child Care Action Council Honors Black History Month
February is Black History Month, a time to honor, acknowledge and celebrate all of the incredible contributions made by African Americans that have shaped the United States. Educating both ourselves and children is an important part of commemorating this important month. Throughout February, we will add resources to this page for both child care providers and families to engage with.
