Caring Kids + GRuB Farms!

It was a great day to work at the GRuB Farm! Thanks to the great staff at GRuB, our Caring Kids family volunteers played fun games, toured the farm, and got their hands dirty by helping pull weeds, plant daffodils, and shovel bark to patch up muddy sections. As an added bonus, the families were able to try a snack of vegetables that were harvested at the farm in a delicious salsa made of tomatoes, corn, and sweet peppers.

Each month, the Caring Kids family volunteer program teams up with a local non-profit organization and together work to create a volunteer experience that our youngest of volunteers can make an impact and have fun! For October, GRuB agreed to partner with us and share their great work of growing healthy food, people, and communities in Olympia and the South Puget Sound. Check back soon for our November project!
