Child Care Action Council Celebrates Pride Month

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate and honor the LGBTQ+ community. Pride Month commemorates the June 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City during which patrons of the Stonewall Inn and local residents gathered together to protest the police harassment and brutality that was persistently inflicted upon the LGBTQ+ community. The protests helped galvanize LGBTQ+ rights activism to challenge the discriminatory laws and practices against the LGBTQ+ community.

Child Care Action Council is committed to cultivating a culture that unequivocally embraces our wonderfully diverse community of child care providers, families, parents and children. We support all efforts to create a more inclusive environment, where the contributions of all community members are recognized. Below are a list of resources and activities to explore.
