Kids start the Raising A Reader program!

Preschool students at our Family Partnership ECEAP Center (Lacey) were introduced to the Raising A Reader early literacy program and today, they get start with their book borrowing journey!

Each week, children will take home their bright red book bags filled with books to read with their parents. Then, the next week, they bring back the book bags to get a new set of books! They will continue this process for the rest of the school year, exposing the kids to over 100 different books from our STEM or diversity series books, to the beloved stories that we used to read when we were kids. There is nothing like seeing the kids faces light up with excitement, discovering the books inside!
