Children’s Literature as a Tool for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Are you unsure how to highlight diversity in your learning environment beyond baby dolls and posters on the walls? Children’s literature offers a unique opportunity to do just that! Children of all ages, from infants to school age, are drawn to stories that reflect their identities and experiences. Come learn what it means for the books in your environment to be a “mirror” for children and a “window” to the world, as well as how to discern what makes a high-quality book for children.
